Liberty Experience Q&A with Alina Abgarjan

Liberty Experience has partnered with a network of artistes in using music to foster social change. This partnership has moved us one step ahead in achieving our goal of achieving social and economic integration for the many Immigrants we provide hope for.

This edition of the series showcases Alina Abgarjan, a Munich-based singer, actress, dancer, and songwriter. Alina has been using her many talents to drive meaningful change for the benefit of immigrants and the society at large.

Q1: At what age did you start performing music:
I had my first solo-singing performance at the age of 12. It was Christmas Eve and I played a singing angel in church. From that day on, I performed regularly, but never my own songs. I started performing my own music when I was 19 years old.

Q2: How does music support you: Music gives me so much freedom and vitality. When I’m daydreaming, music gives me inspiration. When I’m down, music gives me strength. When I’m happy, music makes me celebrate life even more. People connect through music. It’s just magic, isn’t it?

Q3: Do you (want to) earn money in the music industry: I already earn money with music. Yes, I would like to earn money with music.

Q4: How did you get to know about Liberty Experience: My musical colleague and friend brought me there, he asked me whether I’d like to perform on Liberty Experience’s stage with him.

Q5: How has Liberty Experience helped you with your musical career: I got in contact with many other artists. Liberty Experience creates a very positive, relaxing energy which makes connecting and performing much more authentic. That’s what makes the organization so special.

Q6: What skills could you improve with Liberty Experience: I came to Liberty Experience after the first long Corona-lockdown. After such a long break, I was pretty nervous to be back on stage again. Performing in that beautiful atmosphere helped me to get used to it again. Now, especially after the second big lockdown, I probably won’t be so tense because it’s not an unknown feeling for me anymore.
